from $185.00

The American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support course is based on scientific evidence from the 2015 AHA Guidelines for CPR and ECC. The PALS course aims to aid the pediatric healthcare provider in developing the knowledge and skills necessary to efficiently and effectively manage critically ill infants and children, resulting in improved outcomes. Skills taught include recognition and treatment of infants and children at risk for cardiopulmonary arrest, the systematic approach to pediatric assessment, effective respiratory management, defibrillation, synchronized cardioversion, intraosseous access, fluid bolus administration, and effective resuscitation team dynamics. After completing this course, you will receive a PALS eCard that is good for two years. Students can choose Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for this course. This will come in the form of a certificate of completion, and the number of CEUs will be reflected on the certificate, which is good for four years.

*You must have the latest PALS manual before, during, and after the class. Failure to present the book will lead to withholding your PALS card until the book is shown to an instructor. If you purchase a manual, we strongly suggest you pick it up at Life-Ed 4 Nurses and review the material at least one week before class starts.
