Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
The American Heart Association’s ACLS course will sharpen skills involving basic life support CPR and its combined effectiveness with advanced cardiovascular life support interventions. This course emphasizes the treatment of adult victims of cardiac arrest and other cardiopulmonary emergencies with effective communication in a team environment. After completing this course, you will receive an ACLS eCard that is good for two years. Students have the option for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for this course. This will come in the form of a certificate of completion, and the number of CEUs will be reflected on the certificate, which is good for four years.
The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS, ACLS, and PALS and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Using these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course materials, do not represent income to the Association.
COVID-19 Modification
To maintain social distancing, the mega code will be ran differently. Also, we will have students use hand sanitizer after every use of all equipment.
*You must have the latest ACLS Manual before, during, and after the class. Failure to present a book will lead to the withholding of your ACLS card until the book is shown to an instructor. If you are purchasing a manual, we strongly suggest that you pick it up at Life-Ed 4 Nurses and review the material at least one week before class starts.
